Friday, October 14


Check-In
All alumni coming back for Homecoming must check in to get their wristband admitting them to all weekend events.
4 – 5 pm: Main House
5 – 8 pm: Gerard Dining Hall

50th College Class Reunion
A special event for the college class of 1961. Enjoy a private reception to celebrate your Golden Reunion!
5 – 7 pm: Main House

Kick-Off Dinner
Open to the entire MU community, come experience all the renovated dining hall has to offer! Music and student-created spirit week décor provide a perfect complement to the meal.
6 – 8 pm: Gerard Dining Hall

Homecoming Happy Hour hosted by Lacrosse Alumni
Enjoy complimentary appetizers and great drink specials: a $10 wristband gets you $2 draft beer all night!
9 pm: Bailey’s Bar & Grill in Ballston

“IGNITE” worship hosted by Campus Ministry
Take part in this new tradition of a non-denominational Christian worship service!
7 – 8:30 pm: Reinsch Auditorium

Pep Rally & Midnight Madness featuring DJ lil'e
Help kick off the 2011-2012 basketball season with a pep rally and dance party!
Join us for trivia and music at 8:00 pm. The pep rally begins at 10:30 with awards given for school spirit and for artwork done by students during Spirit Week. DJ lil'e will kick off the dance party at midnight.

Yoga Class

Campus Community Service Project hosted by Campus Ministry

Alumni Event: Open Forum with Dr. Shank
Take part in shaping Marymount's future! Join MU’s new president, Dr. Matthew Shank, to learn more about and participate in the visioning process, Forward Together. This meeting is one of the opportunities for alumni to give their input into the new University vision. Light brunch fare to follow in the Barry Art Gallery.
9:30 – 11 am: Reinsch Auditorium/Barry Art Gallery

Women’s Lacrosse Alumni Game
11 am – noon: Turf Field

Men’s Basketball Alumni Pick-up Game

Campus Tour

Tailgate Lunch
Pick a “tailgate spot” and enjoy burgers, brats and chicken grilled on site!
Come meet and mingle with student groups and learn more about campus life today. Activities will include face painting for the kids and lawn games like horseshoes and bocce ball.

Alumni Awards & Champagne Reception
Join in celebrating the accomplishments of your fellow alumni!

Athletics Hall of Fame Reception
Join new Athletic Director, Debbie Warren, at a reception open to all faculty, staff and alumni.

Homecoming Concert featuring Hot Tub Limo & The Influence
The entire MU community is invited this attend this exciting concert featuring Hot Tub Limo (80s/90s covers) and The Influence (rock)!
Doors at 8 pm; Show begins at 8:30 pm: Verizon Gym

Signature Event: Alumni Dinner-Dance at the Westin Arlington Gateway
All MU alumni are welcome to enjoy a lively evening of cocktails, dinner, and dancing. Tables are available at a discounted rate, so grab your classmates and join the fun! Special seating for Reunion classes.

Sunday, October 16

Homecoming Mass
11 am: Sacred Heart of Mary Chapel

Gospel Concert featuring Helen Hayes Award-Winning Broadway star Julia McGirt Nixon and the McGirt Singers with special guest Marymount alumna Amber Whaley '07
If you live in the area or aren't in a rush to get home, join student activities for an uplifting gospel concert. This event is free and open to the public; no RSVP or Homecoming wristband required.
